mixing/ Memory – special photo exhibition in Yangzhou

Since 2009 Breda and Yangzhou have a special relation on friendship and collaboration. As twin cities Breda and Yangzhou exchange knowledge and culture with the aim to strengthen international relationships and people to people friendship.

To celebrate 10 years of Friendship between the cities of Yangzhou and Breda, BredaPhoto is pleased to organize the special photo exhibition ‘mixing/ Memory’. Five young photography talents, who participated in the renowned BredaPhoto International Talent Program and made their international breakthrough at the BredaPhoto Festival, will showcase their work to the people of Yangzhou. The title is inspired by the poem ‘The Waste Land’ by T. S. Eliot, widely regarded as one of the most important poems of the 20th century. The exhibition ‘mixing/ Memory’ will run from October 31st till November 12th 2019 at Yangzhou Culture Centre.


Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing
Memory and desire, stirring
